This is currently and has been one of the best engineered wood shafts on the market! The Ultra shaft has all the benefits; more power, increased smoothness, unprecedented radial consistency, improved chalk resistance, and superior durability. The Jacoby Ultra Pro shaft is constructed from 140 pieces of hard rock maple veneer. The veneer undergoes a lamination process under immense pressure to ensure a solid bond. After a lengthy cure time, each shaft is then turned down over the course of several moths utilizing Jacoby's proprietary seasoning process to prevent warping. All of these things together produce the Ultra Pro's superior quality and play-ability, unmatched by any other high-end performance shaft.

The Jacoby Ultra Blanks have been intentionally left unfinished with no logo or joint style and the joint diameter is oversized at .870". They can be finished by any cue maker who needs their own proprietary joint style and diameter specifications. The Ultra Blanks have the pro taper cut as well as tip and ferule installations which come in 12.75mm for the Pro and 11.75mm for the Super Pro.
